Atlas Model Trains

This family-owned New Jersey company made its mark in the improvements it made to model train tracks, and making trains run right is still a major concern. Anyone who has had a bumpy ride in a new commuter train knows the value of the old wisdom: the ride is in the roadbed. Atlas takes pride in its tracks--and increasingly in the other systems it has developed to give model trains a smooth, solid ride.

Atlas is an excellent source for the computer software serious hobbyists seek to run their train systems. Just as major railyards rely on computer technology, Atlas provides RightTrack (now in Version 8.0) to manage large and complex model systems. And it's a free download! RightTrack is compatible with all Atlas track systems, bridges, switches, and turntables. It is further available in templates for Walther Cornerstone, Railway Design Assoc, Design Preservation Models, Life-Like, and Lionel equipment.
